Poland Caps Hospital Doctors' Pay at 40,000 PLN Gross Per Month

Health Minister Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda revealed that a rate of 240 PLN per hour — equivalent to a maximum of 40,000 PLN gross per month — is intended to guarantee fair pay for medical specialists. Disclosed salary data show that many medical staff currently earn less than this rate. The changes are set to accelerate a broader reform of hospital pay structures.
