Dozens of applicants per place as competition for medical school hits record levels

Competition for places at Polish medical schools has reached extreme levels, with dozens of candidates vying for each spot. The number of applicants has risen sharply while available places have remained almost unchanged compared to last year. Many candidates are top high-school graduates already used to competitive admissions.
