German U-boat U-583 found after 82 years — 50 nautical miles off Ustka

After more than 80 years of searching, the wreck of German Type VIIC submarine U-583, lost in the Baltic Sea in November 1941, has been located approximately 50 nautical miles north of the Polish town of Ustka. The discovery resolves one of the greatest mysteries in the history of the German Baltic submarine fleet.
