Christian Brothers Abuse Survivors to Receive Full Compensation

Edmund Rice Education Australia, which received vast property holdings from the Christian Brothers, has agreed to fully compensate survivors of abuse committed by the Catholic order. The reversal came after weeks of public pressure, following the Christian Brothers' announcement that they were going broke and could not meet civil claims. An Australian court ruled that Edmund Rice Education Australia can be sued over the abuse.
