PiS Split: Kaczyński and Morawiecki Talks End Without Resolution

The PiS leadership's midnight deadline for members to declare non-membership in affiliated associations passed Thursday without a clear outcome. Earlier, Jarosław Kaczyński and Mateusz Morawiecki held several hours of talks that yielded no resolution. PiS spokesman Rafał Bochenek stated that each member individually decides whether they belong to the party or the association. A press conference by Kaczyński was scheduled for noon Friday.
