Nolan's 'The Odyssey' Opens Bigger Than Any of His Batman Films

Christopher Nolan delivered his biggest global box-office debut this past weekend with The Odyssey . Remarkably, the movie grossed more in its opening frame than even Nolan's second and third Batman movies, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises . Both those films eventually made more than $1 billion worldwide, and Nolan's 2023 release, Oppenheimer , nearly joined them with a $975 million global haul. With the sort of figures that The Odyssey has posted already, it seems poised to become Nolan's third film to enter the esteemed one-billion club. It's certainly among the most ambitious projects of Nolan's career, which includes several large-scale epics.
