King Charles III emerges from a Tardis to open Commonwealth Games in Glasgow

King Charles III made a surprise appearance emerging from a Tardis — the iconic blue police box from Doctor Who — at the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony in Glasgow. A Loch Ness Monster also took the stage as part of the theatrical spectacle. The 2025 Commonwealth Games are now officially underway in the Scottish city.
