Paramount-Warner Bros. Merger Blocked Until at Least Aug. 18

Federal Judge Araceli Martinez-Olguin extended the order blocking the Paramount-Warner Bros. merger for 14 more days, meaning the deal cannot close before August 18. A hearing on a request for a permanent preliminary injunction is scheduled for August 3. Paramount is opposing the bid to block the deal indefinitely.
