Secret "Raki" Bugging Facility Uncovered — Polish Secret Police Recorded Mokotów Prisoners 1950–1956
Newly discovered documents reveal that communist Poland's Ministry of Public Security operated a secret bugging facility codenamed "Raki," which recorded conversations of prisoners held at the Mokotów detention centre in Warsaw between 1950 and 1956. The find sheds new light on the background of Kazimierz Moczarski's celebrated book "Conversations with an Executioner." It remains unclear whether Moczarski himself was among those surveilled by the facility.
