Canadian driver clocked at 111 km/h in a 60 zone — claimed speeding would dry his car

Police in Coquitlam, British Columbia, stopped a driver travelling at 111 km/h (69 mph) in a 60 km/h (37 mph) zone. The motorist told officers he was speeding to dry his freshly washed sedan. Unsurprisingly, the explanation failed to impress — the driver was issued a ticket and his car was impounded for seven days.
