AMD Epyc 9006 server CPU: 256 cores and 512 threads built for AI agents

AMD unveiled its sixth-generation Epyc 9006 server processors at the Advancing AI 2026 conference. The chips feature 256 cores and 512 threads, designed for both traditional server workloads and the growing demands of agentic AI. The new generation targets data centres running advanced AI models.
