Polish Ministry Rejects ZUS Plan to Abolish Cash Pension Payments

Poland's Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) proposed eliminating cash payments for pensions and disability benefits, arguing that bank transfers are far cheaper than postal orders. The Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy has responded negatively to the proposal, keeping cash payments as an option. The change would primarily affect elderly recipients without bank accounts.
