Venice director Barbera on fewer women in competition and AI's festival impact

Alberto Barbera, director of the 83rd Venice Film Festival, admitted the main competition suffers from a "desperate" lack of women directors this year. He also explained why Luca Guadagnino's new film "Artificial" will not screen on the Lido — the director chose a different premiere venue.
