Birth control pills don't replace condoms, health experts say
Contraceptive pills are highly effective at preventing pregnancy when taken correctly, but offer no protection against sexually transmitted infections such as chlamydia or HIV. Condoms remain essential, especially with a new partner, in an uncertain relationship, or when a pill dose is missed. Using both methods together is a matter of health, not distrust.
