Angola jails Russian political consultants for 8 and 11 years for election meddling

An Angolan court sentenced two Russian political marketing specialists to 8 and 11 years in prison for espionage, terrorism and attempting to interfere in the country's presidential election. The Russians claimed they had come on a humanitarian mission. The case is a rare instance of Russian political influence operatives being convicted outside Europe.
