Polish health insurer outraged as Łódź hospital tells cancer patients to wait until 2027
The Central Clinical Hospital in Łódź has told at least several cancer patients they must either find another hospital or wait until 2027 for treatment. The hospital's director insists the situation stems from concern for patients and that no treatment programmes have been suspended. NFZ (National Health Fund) spokeswoman Anna Leder called the practice "unacceptable" and vowed a firm response.
