BAE Systems licences L119 howitzer production to Ukraine

British defence firm BAE Systems has signed a licensing agreement with a Ukrainian company that will allow the L119 towed howitzer to be manufactured in Ukraine. The deal marks the first time production of the L119 will be licensed outside the United Kingdom. The agreement is intended to enable Ukraine to meet its own demand for the artillery piece domestically.
