Polish factory employing 700 declared bankrupt due to US owner's financial troubles

A court in Łódź has declared Ultinon Motion Poland, based in Pabianice, bankrupt and appointed a receiver. The plant employs around 700 workers and was profitable, but was dragged down by the financial difficulties of its US parent company, First Brands Group. A trustee has been appointed to manage the bankruptcy proceedings.
