EU approves Saudi Arabia's $55bn acquisition of Electronic Arts

The European Union has approved the $55 billion acquisition of Electronic Arts by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), alongside private equity firm Silver Lake and investment company Affinity Partners. The deal is set to be the largest private leveraged buyout in history. EU regulatory approval was considered a major hurdle for the transaction.
