NIK audit finds contaminated land under residential blocks in two Warsaw districts

Poland's Supreme Audit Office (NIK) found that some contaminated plots in Warsaw's Ursus and Praga Północ districts were never officially registered, and developers built residential blocks on top of them. Residents of those buildings may be exposed to hazardous ground contamination. NIK identified failures in oversight of the clean-up process.
