William Shatner and daughter both beat cancer in emotional family story

Star Trek actor William Shatner and his daughter Melanie Shatner Gretsch have both battled cancer and come out the other side. Three years ago, Melanie was undergoing intensive chemotherapy for stage-four breast cancer. When she broke down one night and called her father fearing she was dying, Shatner arrived at her door within 15 minutes to comfort her.
