Half a million Britons at risk of coastal flooding by end of century, study finds

A study published in Nature Communications warns that rising sea levels will put at least 500,000 people in the UK at risk of coastal flooding by the end of this century. In subsequent centuries that number could reach 1.7 million. Researchers describe the phenomenon as a "sleeping giant."
