Spain to host solar eclipse trilogy from 2026 to 2028

Between August 2026 and January 2028, Spain and North Africa will be the setting for a trilogy of rare solar eclipses, starting with the first event on 12 August 2026. Astronomers expect the series to draw millions of visitors from around the world, both amateur and professional skywatchers. The clustering of three such events over the same region in under two years is considered exceptionally rare.
