Freedom Fuels pulls $3.47-a-gallon gas deal as national average tops $4.00

Freedom Fuels has ended its promotion offering gasoline at $3.47 a gallon just as the US national average price surpassed $4.00 a gallon. The chain's owners say continuing the offer was financially unsustainable. They insist the campaign was not purely a marketing stunt and indicate there are still opportunities to help customers with fuel costs.
