Warsaw scientists challenge the classic structure model of ice VII
Researchers at the University of Warsaw have studied ice VII, a crystalline form of water that remains solid under pressures around 900,000 times greater than at Earth's surface, regardless of temperature. Their findings challenge the established structural model of this exotic ice. Water in solid form is one of the most common compounds in the universe, with over 20 known crystalline variants now identified.
