Suspect arrested after 15 years for rape and murder of 13-year-old Izabela Strzałkowska

Police have arrested 37-year-old Michał S., suspected of raping and murdering 13-year-old Izabela Strzałkowska in August 2011. A court remanded him in custody for three months. The breakthrough came after investigators used genetic genealogy — a pioneering forensic method in Poland — to identify the suspect after 14 years.
