Credit fraud attempt every 14 minutes in Poland — 9,000 cases foiled worth 303 mln PLN
The Polish Bank Association reports that over 9,000 fraudulent credit applications worth a combined 303.1 million PLN were foiled in the first half of this year — equivalent to one attempt every 14 minutes. Nearly 3 million documents are now registered in the central stolen-document database. The system is designed to stop criminals using stolen or forged IDs to take out loans.
