EU fines Google €890 million for favouring its own services

The European Commission issued two fines totalling €890 million against Google for breaching the EU's Digital Markets Act (DMA). Brussels accused the tech giant of using its search engine to favour its own services over competitors. Google rejected the charges, stating that its practices do not constitute unfair competition.
