Gironde wildfire: 20,000 evacuated as blaze consumes 2,400 hectares

Around 20,000 people, including tourists, have been evacuated in the Gironde department of France due to a large forest and grassland fire. The blaze has consumed over 2,400 hectares of land. Firefighting efforts are being hampered by strong winds that are rapidly spreading the flames.
