World Cup lifts TelevisaUnivision revenue to $1.3bn but US ad sales fall 29%
TelevisaUnivision posted a 10% revenue increase to $1.3 billion in Q2 2025, driven largely by a 53% jump in Mexico fuelled by the FIFA World Cup and 675 million total viewers. However, US ad sales dropped 29% because rival Telemundo holds the World Cup broadcast rights in the United States. The tournament proved a double-edged sword for the company — a boom south of the border and a drag north of it.
