Wildfire Near Lège-Cap-Ferret Forces Evacuation of 20,000 in Southwest France

Around 20,000 people were evacuated from towns and holiday resorts in southwestern France as a wildfire raged near the popular coastal tourist town of Lège-Cap-Ferret. The fire struck at the height of the summer tourist season. Emergency services are fighting the blaze as authorities have ordered mandatory evacuations.
