Budapest Exhibition Reveals Facial Reconstructions of Ancient Roman-Era City Residents

A new exhibition in Budapest features 16 facial reconstructions based on skulls excavated from Aquincum, a Roman-era city dating back nearly 2,000 years. Curators have no records of the individuals' lives and have invented backstories to accompany each face. The show offers a rare glimpse into the physical appearance of people who lived in that part of Europe during the Roman period.
