Poland's Population Drops by 246,000 Compared to 2024

Preliminary data from Poland's Central Statistical Office (GUS) show the country's population at the end of June was 159,000 lower than a year earlier and 246,000 lower compared to 2024. Despite a rising marriage rate, no increase in births has been recorded. The number of deaths is growing, deepening Poland's long-term depopulation trend.
