Google fined €890 million by EU for breaching Digital Markets Act

European regulators fined Google €890 million ($1 billion) for giving preferential treatment to its own services in search results and on the Google Play store under the EU's Digital Markets Act (DMA). The fine is one of the largest imposed under the landmark digital competition law since it came into force. Google is expected to challenge the ruling.
