Google fined €890 million by EU for breaching Digital Markets Act

The European Commission fined Google €890 million on Thursday for violating the EU's Digital Markets Act (DMA). The company was found to have favoured its own services in search results and restricted access to cheaper, competing offers on the Google Play store. It is one of the largest fines imposed under the EU's landmark digital competition rules.
