Miyamoto confirms Super Mario Galaxy Movie directly led to new Star Fox and Yoshi games

Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed in a Famitsu interview that The Super Mario Galaxy Movie directly triggered the development of two new Switch 2 games: a new Star Fox title and Yoshi and the Mysterious Book. The inclusion of Fox McCloud and Yoshi in the film prompted Nintendo to create standalone games for both IPs, with decisions made on a case-by-case basis.
