Tesla profits miss Wall Street forecasts as shares drop over 3%
Tesla reported second-quarter earnings on Wednesday showing far lower profits than expected despite growing revenue, with earnings per share missing Wall Street forecasts. The company's shares, already down around 14% year-to-date, fell more than 3% in after-hours trading. Elon Musk's focus has increasingly shifted to SpaceX, which recently completed the largest stock market debut in history, briefly making him the world's first trillionaire.
