Crypto home invasions surge to 20 in H1 2026, up from just one a year earlier

Security firm CertiK recorded 20 crypto home invasions in the first half of 2026, a dramatic rise from just one in the same period a year earlier. France was the hardest-hit country, accounting for 33 of 52 verified physical "wrench attacks" against cryptocurrency holders globally.
