China fires water cannon at Philippine ships near Scarborough Shoal

China's coast guard claimed it drove off two Philippine vessels near the disputed Scarborough Shoal in the South China Sea. Manila denied the retreat, accusing Beijing of deploying a water cannon and making dangerous manoeuvres against ships on a humanitarian mission.
