Mayor of Mexican town Temoac shot dead by attackers on motorcycles

Valentin Lavin Romero, mayor of the Mexican town of Temoac, has been shot dead. The attackers fled the scene on motorcycles and police are conducting a manhunt. It was the second attempt on his life — in January he was shot on a highway and hospitalised. He had previously been linked by media to affairs involving organised crime.
