Maduro to face trial in New York in June 2027

A federal judge in New York has set June 1, 2027 as the trial date for ousted Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores. The couple face drug trafficking charges in the United States. Maduro was removed from power by US-backed forces before his prosecution could proceed.
