Google has been hard at work improving the user experience of Chrome on Android. The company recently added new features, including a redesigned navigation bar . Now, it’s working on a change that will make pretty much every internet user breathe a sigh of relief.

In a post on the Chrome for Developers blog, the company announced that it’s making some changes to how the browser displays notification prompts on Android (via PiunikaWeb ). Right now, if a website wants your permission to show notifications, the prompt basically hijacks your screen until you allow or block it.

Volkswagen isn’t the only one trimming headcount in Europe’s largest automaking group. A new report says Porsche is preparing its own round of job cuts, with the supervisory board having signed off on a wider restructuring package to go along with them.

The German sports car maker is now run by Michael Leiters, who spent just under three years as chief executive of McLaren before taking the job. He replaced Oliver Blume, who had been splitting his attention between the top seats at both VW and Porsche.

As part of his efforts to turn the company around, Leiters could cut between 5,000 and 6,000 jobs by 2035, in addition to the 3,900 redundancies already announced while Porsche was being helmed by Blume. Reuters reports that plans may be presented to workers next week.

Porsche has long been one of the VW Group’s best-performing brands, consistently posting strong profits thanks to its higher-priced models. However, it posted a 93 percent drop in operating profit last year, triggered in part by the costs associated with international tariffs, in addition to declining sales in China and its overcommitment to electric powertrains.

Earlier this year, Leiters said Porsche would lean more heavily into high-margin models like the 911 , while also simplifying its line-up. Importantly, the brand does not intend on boosting volumes as part of its restructuring.

Where Did Things Go Wrong?

Significant amounts of money have been lost on the electric 718 Boxster/Cayman and electric K1 projects. Not only has Porsche walked back its commitment to exclusively build the next-generation Boxster and Cayman as EVs, but its flagship K1 mega SUV will also not be sold solely with an electric powertrain. Instead, it will switch from VW’s Scalable Systems Platform to the Premium Platform Combustion architecture, supporting several V6 and V8 options, as well as numerous hybrids.

Spider-Man jumped from a Jeep to help a wheelchair user in Arkansas.

A police traffic camera captured the quick-thinking rescue on video.

The hero was an off-duty employee returning from a kids’ event.

The Spider-Man: Brand New Day blockbuster hits theaters July 31, but the character himself turned up early and off-script in Arkansas, handling the kind of work that doesn’t make the trailer. A wheelchair user needed to get across a road. Spidey got him across. With great power comes great responsibility, and apparently a Jeep.

The incident took place at the busy intersection of Caraway Road and Highland Drive in Jonesboro. A man in a wheelchair was making his way across, moving slowly and struggling to gain any real speed with traffic waiting on him. Then a red Jeep Wrangler stopped and someone in a full web-slinger costume climbed out and went straight for the crosswalk.

Spidey grabbed the handles and pushed the wheelchair across before the opposing lanes got their green. Then he jogged back to the Jeep, keeping an eye on moving traffic so the rescue didn’t turn into an accident of its own.

The neighborhood hero under the Spider-Man costume was later identified as Chris Hellenthal, known on Instagram as @neaspidey . As reported by local media, Hellenthal works at the nearby Ultimate Air Trampoline Park and was wearing the uniform for Superhero Day. However, this was not a one-off stunt, as the employee frequently dresses like Spider-Man, making kids (and grown-ups) smile.

The Jonesboro Police Department posted the footage on social media and praised him for it, noting that red light or green light, there is always time to do the right thing. Locals piled on with approval, pointing out that not all heroes wear capes. Some drive Jeeps .
