Alphabet to spend $205bn on AI despite record cloud revenue

Alphabet posted strong Q2 2026 results, with cloud revenue surging 82%. Despite this, shares fell more than 3% in after-hours trading as the company recorded negative free cash flow for the first time as a public company. Alphabet also raised its full-year AI infrastructure investment budget to $205 billion.
