Chanterelles cost over 100 zł/kg in shops — free to pick in Polish forests

The peak season for chanterelles (Cantharellus cibarius) is in full swing in Poland. Shops charge over 100 zł per kilogram, while buying directly from foragers costs 40–50 zł. Chanterelles are among the easiest edible mushrooms to identify and are virtually never worm-infested, making them a safe choice for amateur foragers.
