EVs catch fire less often than combustion cars — Polish fire brigade report

In the first half of 2026, 26 electric vehicles caught fire in Poland, according to the latest State Fire Service report. When adjusted for the number of registered vehicles, EVs burned less frequently than combustion engine cars. The data offers a more complete picture of fire risk across vehicle types.
