Indonesia signs deal for M-346 F jet trainers, AW149 helicopters also in play

Indonesia has signed a contract with Leonardo and PT ESystem Solutions for the supply of M-346 F lead-in fighter trainer jets in a new "Asian" Block 20 configuration. The deal also keeps AW149 helicopters in contention as part of the broader procurement process. The purchase is part of Indonesia's ongoing military modernisation programme.
