Historian: Post-war Poland was especially dangerous for Jews

Prof. Dariusz Stola, director of the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews, explains why attacks on Jews occurred in cities such as Rzeszów, Kraków, Lublin and Kielce after World War II. The Kielce pogrom of 4 July 1946 stands as one of the most tragic examples of post-war antisemitic violence. Stola stresses that while post-war Poland was dangerous for everyone, Jews faced a particularly heightened risk.
