Astronomers Spot Strong Exomoon Candidate Orbiting a Brown Dwarf
A team of astronomers using the ESO telescope in Chile has identified an object in the CD-35 2722 system as one of the strongest exomoon candidates confirmed so far. Unusually, the object orbits a brown dwarf rather than a planet, challenging conventional definitions of a natural satellite. The discovery raises new questions about how planetary systems form and evolve.
