$13 Billion from Venezuelan Oil Unaccounted For – Congress Demands Answers

US firms controlling Venezuelan oil extraction and exports were expected to channel around $13 billion since January into infrastructure, healthcare and debt repayment for Caracas. According to the Financial Times, the Venezuelan government recorded only one transfer — $300 million in March. Both Republican and Democratic lawmakers are now demanding answers on where the remaining funds went.
