Orcas caught on video smashing dead sunfish apart – apparently for fun

Researchers filmed orcas ramming dead ocean sunfish with enough force to shatter them into pieces, in what appears to be play behaviour. Scientists suggest the activity may entertain adult orcas while also helping younger ones digest the food more easily. The footage represents a rare documented case of apparent play behaviour in cetaceans.
